Director, Business Development

Routehappy is seeking a passionate and experienced Director, Business Development to help drive adoption and use of our data, content, and software by airlines and distributors worldwide. Routehappy is transforming the way people shop for flights; its customers include Google, Expedia, Kayak, Skyscanner, Sabre, Air Canada, Emirates, Qantas, Singapore Airlines, United, and many other airlines and distributors of all sizes; this role will play an integral role in growing this customer base.

Our Director, Business Development will focus on brand awareness and the adoption of new customers – establishing the strategy, proposition, and process for the acquisition of both airline and distributor customers. You will build and manage ongoing customer relationships, partnering with internal teams to deliver exceptional results while managing processes and customer expectations throughout testing and implementations. As part of our growing team, you will work across the design spectrum, from UI design to producing engaging online and offline marketing assets and brand identity elements.

Client Development Lead (Business Development)

Routehappy is seeking a results-oriented Client Development Lead to support and grow our product implementations with airlines and distributors worldwide.

As an integral member of our team, you will support client adoption and use of Routehappy data, content and software, which are transforming the way people shop for flights. Routehappy’s customers include Google, Expedia, Kayak, Skyscanner, Sabre, Air Canada, Alaska Airlines, Emirates, Qantas, Singapore Airlines, United and many others.

Our Client Development Lead will work within the Business Development organization, in close coordination with the Routehappy product, merchandising, marcom and finance teams to manage product implementations and to support customer accounts day-to-day. Our ideal candidate is an exceptional communicator who manages projects with precise attention to detail but also contributes to big picture strategy to deliver outstanding support to prospective and current customers. You are also technically savvy, product oriented, and thrive in helping customers succeed.

Must haves:

  • E-commerce product, marketing or account experience
  • Demonstrable excellence in project and large account management
  • Ability to learn, prioritize and act quickly, managing multiple integrations at once
  • Customer orientation with ability to manage expectations throughout an integration
  • Excellent communication skills with stakeholders at all levels
  • Ability to travel occasionally, including overseas
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • College degree

A successful recent Routehappy rich content integration on a distributor website was Webjet, Australia’s largest online travel agency. Webjet placed Routehappy rich content on its shopping cart page with resulting in 26% higher conversion for international economy shoppers who interacted with our content. Our Client Development Lead will project and account manage customers like Webjet integrating our content to grow their business, orchestrating internal and external resources to make Routehappy use cases successful.

In this role you will manage multiple existing client accounts, including product deployment, business reviews, customer product feedback, account expansion and more. Our Client Development Lead will also give product demonstrations and provide other inside sales duties. This role reports to the Vice President, Business Development.
